Digger came to us as a 16 week old stray at the shelter that I manage. He was thin and covered in ticks. I brought him home only to realize that he had an awful limp and seemed very painful in the rear hip area. After many x-rays and consults with specialist, Digger had to have his pelvic bone fused together in hopes to help with his hip dysplasia. We had months of controlled activity and healing only to learn that he would probably need
a hip replacement in time and may never be a very active dog. We knew that swimming was great therapy so we started him swimming with us. He loved it! It didn’t take long before his muscles grew stronger and more supportive. In his enthusiasm to get to the pond he would race down the dock and leap, soar, and fly like Superman. Our “Ultimate Air” dog was born. We have not been able to stop him. He improves with every competition and has added the “Catch It” and “Ultimate Vertical” challenges to his repertoire. Digger started jumping the 2007 summer, with jumps around 10 feet. His natural ability grew into jumps of 20 feet plus. He currently ranks the 2nd largest jumping pitbull in the nation. Trailing behind the largest jumping pitbull by a mere 3 inches! Digger will be the pitbull to watch this year. He is a great enthusiastic sporting ambassador for the breed. He is a very fun and loving dog. Who is happy no matter what is going on around him. He loves everyone he meets and the feelings appear to be mutual. The crowds love him!
